Brown Monochrome

A monochromatic outfit consists of wearing pieces of one color. Being that an outfit of a single color can be thought to being basic, it can be very chic. The trick is to play up your monochrome outfits with textures and color hues. Wearing different shades and tints of the same color will elevate your outfit.

Adding textures of the same color palette makes your outfit even more fashionable. Here I used brown as my monochrome color base.  According to Vogue, brown and beige tones are a huge trend for the fall season. Beige was huge in spring 2019 runways and is still everywhere and stronger then ever but with a richer darker color tone like brown.

I mixed and matched different textures and hues; brown leggings, a ribbed turtleneck, and layered a faux croc jacket. I balanced the look with basic accessories in black.  It's okay to cheat and have your accessories be another color that doesn't take away from the outfit. I decided on a lighter color shoe but black booties would of worked great as well.

I love that monochrome outfits are extremely versatile, you can swap pieces to fit your personal style. I recommend to play around with your wardrobe create a monochrome outfit and most importantly have fun with it.
Monochrome outfits don't have to be boring if you play up textures and color tones.
