3 Looks 1 Mesh Dress

Lately, I've seen this mesh dress everywhere. I first saw it on Kim Kardashian at the MTV VMA's and now in stores. I've seen in red, white and my personal favorite black. I thought it would be a great idea to show you how versatile this piece can be. I put together 3 looks styled completely differently.

Since its still summer, I thought a swimsuit look would be ideal. A mesh dress is one of my favorite layer pieces for a fun poolside outfit. You get the coverage you want but still get a little sneak to what's underneath.

A dress doesn't necessarily need to be worn as a dress. I paired this little number with a pair of distressed shorts. I accessorized this outfit with a double buckle belt, a wide fedora hat, and super tall platform heels. With these accessories and shorts this dress has a fun boho vibe.

Be a little daring and wear just your bra and high waited panties under the mesh dress. Layer a floral print duster to elevate the look. The little black dress never looked so edgy and sexy.

Silky Satin Dress

So many dresses so little time. Some dresses are casual and others are dressy. Sometimes you will find a dress that can be worn both dressy and casual. I love when I find dresses like that because I love a versatile piece.

This silky satin little number from Charlotte Russe makes a sexy statement. I love the wrap dress design and especially one with a tulip shape. I'm also obsessed with the lace detail; it outlines the shape of the dress very well.

A silky satin dress usually can be very versatile and be dressed down or up. I put together two different looks. One is casual- perfect for on the go with a little style and the other great for a dinner date with a alluring appeal.

Nothing is more casual then a white crew neck. That is why I layered mine under my dress. It instantly made the dress look casual. I love that by layering this top the outfit automatically has a 90's throwback feel. I completed the look with matching purple sunglasses and slip on sneakers with bow details.

This dress by itself is a knockout. It's sexy and feminine. I love the wrap design because it is very flattering. I wanted the dress to stand out on its own. That is why I didn't over accessorize. I put on a pair of single strap heels, a black clutch and delicate jewelry. The outfit overall is simple and chic.

From Summer to Fall

As you might noticed pretty much all the stores have their fall collections out. You're starting to see jackets, a lot of darken tones, and boots.  I know what you're thinking- it's still hot out! I thought it would be perfect to share my thoughts on how to start to transition to fall when it still feels like summer. I put together 2 looks from Curvy Sense to inspire your pre-fall wardrobe.

I'm obsessed with this skirt! First, I love that it makes my butt look bigger. I'm so on-board with anything that makes my butt bigger: cheeseburgers, pizza, jeans, ect. It's sometimes hard to find a maxi skirt with volume that is flattering. Well this skirt has a full body and is very flattering. The colors and print on the skirt scream fall. I made this skirt more appropriate for this summer heat with a strappy crop top and gladiator sandals. The colors and print say fall but the crop top and sandals say summer. Also, this skirt is at a great price. It's only $22! I love that you get a great deal for a good quality skirt.

I never thought I was a tie dye kind of girl but I couldn't resist this dress. This dress is stretchy (which you know I love anything stretchy) and it's so soft. I can't believe this dress is only $19! Yes, I said $19. It's another great deal for a product that's great quality. Lately, I've been gravitating to pastels. It's definitely the opposite of my normal black wardrobe. Pastels are usually colors you wear for spring and summer. This dress was easy to transition to fall with just pairing it with a lightweight cardigan and fringe booties. There's nothing like stepping into fall with a pair of booties.

polka dots, dress, retro

Gimme Polka Dots

You either love them or hate them. When it comes to me- I love polka dots big or small. Polka dots are a classic print that will never go out of style. This print was very popular in the 1920's to 1960's from dresses, tops, and swimsuits. Polka dots now aren't all the rage but their definitely a wardrobe must have.

Style Tip: If a polka dress is to much polka dot for you- try wearing a blouse with this print. Pair the blouse with a pencil skirt for a great outfit for the office. If you want a more casual approach wear a polka dot skirt with a denim top- like I wore here

Polka dots are retro and retro is in. I took this retro print and wore it in a modern way in this bodycon dress from Lovesick. This dress itself has a va-va-voom quality so minimal accessories were key. I wore a white belt to emphasize my waist and pointy toe heels to elongate my legs. I completed the look with round sunnies to keep up with the retro element the print has.

Colorful Dress

There are those days I put away my little black dress and put on a flirty colorful one. A dress with a pop of color brings out my girly side and this dress from Cali's Collections is just what I'm talking about. I love the Aztec print and adore the bell sleeve details. The colors are eye-catching and the off the shoulder design is one of my favorite trends this summer.

Style Tip: Having trouble keeping that off the shoulder blouse or dress well, off the shoulder? Watch this video for a great trick to keep them in place.

The fabric is great for this summer heat- flowy and lightweight. This tribal print has boho written all over it. That's why a gold chain belt and round retro sunglasses is the perfect match to complete this boho look. I felt the dress was a little too long for me- I knotted the dress on the side to make it shorter. Pair of nude heels completes this outfit. I chose a neutral heel because the dress is the show stopper.
