Lipstick on my Shirt

Welcome 2017! I know I'm a little behind but I'm happy to say this is my 1st blog of the year. I'm soo excited for this New Year. I have many goals I want to accomplish and do so many new things. This year I also want to step up my game with my style. I really want to focus on pieces with character. What does that mean? I want to find great pieces that are edgy and add drama to my look.

This blouse is definitely doing its job, it adds that drama quality I want to my overall outfit. I love the cape design witch sasses up an ordinary button down blouse.

This is not a new top: it was given to me last year from JCPenney. When I wore it, I wore a jacket over it. You couldn't see the cape silhouette. This time I wore black skinny jeans and pointy toe heels to have the focus on the blouse. I completed the look with cat eye sunglasses and a lovely statement necklace. Unfortunately, this top has sold out but I found similar options down below that have that fun cape design.
