All Red

Tis the season to be stylish. With upcoming holiday events and parties we want to look our best. The power color of the season is red. So, how could I not wear this color? It's festive and fun.

You can just imagine my joy when Tracee Ellis Ross came out with a collection at JCPenney. I've loved her and her style ever since Girlfriends. I love her fashion sense and self-confidence. Her style to me is retro with a modern twist. Her collection is full of sequins, fun patterns, and vibrant colors like this red duster and trouser set.

Red is a great way to add a pop of color to your outfit but, also looks amazing in a monochromatic look. It looks so fashionable and chic.

I broke up the red with my favorite color, black. This semi-sheer knit bodysuit has an allover floral lace design which is a great compliment to this set. It adds a sexy appeal to the look.

I love this outfit. I feel comfortable, chic and it's at a great price. I love that this look can be for everyone. The collection comes in regular and plus size. I will say that it runs big. I'm wearing a size Large duster and an X-Large bottom. Both size runs are on the links below.

A Blazer, Hat, & Amour

You can never go wrong with a denim and t-shirt outfit combination. It’s super casual and great for on the go. But we all like to look a little more elevated and stylish and a blazer does just that. It’s not only for the office. It’s a great piece to add on to a casual outfit. It adds a tailored and put together finish to pretty much any look.

Lately, I’ve really been into hats. I love wearing cabby hats to big fedora hats. They are a great way to add that stylish appeal to your outfit. Plus it's a great for those bad hair days.

Let’s not forgot the accessories. I’ve really been gravitating tours accessories with western elements like studs, fringe, and buckles just like this double buckle belt. It’s a fun piece to have in your closet.

I completed this look with a pair of chunky patent leather booties and my all-time favorite accessory a pair of sunnies. This look is very comfy without sacrificing fashion and style.

Stripes

Can you say oh la la. I feel like a girl in Paris in this outfit. The beret definitely adds that European flare but the whole outfit screams Paris (well at least in my head haha) I’m obsessed with this look. Everything from the lace detail on the blouse to the side slits of the pants.

Stripes were strong during spring and summer and are even stronger for fall. Stripes in my opinion just never go out of style. There is just something about these vertical and horizontal lines that can add a preppy, nautical or an edgy vibe to your outfit.

As a plus size girl I’ve been told to stay away from stripes but I’ve never been one to listen. I personally love anything striped. Stripes can be flattering to many body types. It’s all about the way you wear them. I personally love vertical stripes. I feel they are more flattering and elongate the body.

Let’s talk about these pants. First they’re a great deal at Target for only $32.99. They have an elastic waist and have some stretch to them. I feel super comfy in them and love how I can dress them up or down. The only con would be they are a little to long for me (I’m 5’3) but nothing a pair of heels can't fix.

This look is all about the pants, that’s why I keep the rest of my outfit simple. I paired the pants with a loose fitting button up blouse, a fun beret and heels. The sunglasses were my finishing touch that adds that edgy element I love.

Mini Skirts For Fall

Fall is finally here! It's the return of jackets, scarves, beanies and me. It has been some time since my last post but I'm glad to be back and have my first style post be for fall.

Not only do pumpkin spice lattes return but it's the biggest season for fashion and trends. That doesn't necessarily mean I'm ready to give up one of my favorite summer trends, the mini skirt.

Mini skirts were fun for summer and can continue to be fun for fall. Wear them with tights and hosiery for an easy summer to fall transition. The tights add a little warmth to your outfit. You can also pair mini skirts with a comfy sweater and booties for a stylish fall assemble.

I paired this skirt from Forever 21 with a black crew neck instead of a sweater since it's still a little warm in LA. One of my favorite fall trends from last year is back! Yes, I'm referring to over the knee boots. They made a statement last year and continue to do so paired with this button down skirt.

Cabbie hats are a huge trend for fall. They're comfy and versatile.  This faux suede cabbie hat compliments the look and adds that extra fall element.

Live To Sparkle

Live to Sparkle...what does this mean to you? To me this saying means live to be yourself because being yourself brings out your own unique sparkle. I love this saying and living by it, literally! These jeans are life. I can't get over the sequin design. I love that with every step I take I literally, sparkle.

Boyfriend jeans are a wardrobe essential. Something about the fit creates that chill and chic look. Now add a little sequin and they're show stoppers. These dazzling denims are from 2020 Ave's new plus size collection. The fit is great. They sit right above my belly button, comfy, and stretchy.

You can never own to many white tees. They're versatile and come in different styles. This one has the cutest eyelashes and knot detail. A knot is a great style hack because it helps accentuate the waist. Making you go from boxy to curvy.
